STYLE ICONS: AMANDA WOODS

Our second style muse in our ‘Style Icons’ series is Amanda Woods a.k.a. Cameron Diaz in our favorite Christmas movie “The Holiday.” 17 years later and these are still outfits we would style! So, what makes a timeless outfit? In our opinion, Amanda/Cameron’s outfits typically have these three things: neutrals, flattering silhouettes, and great accessories.

-Neutrals: Most of her outfits in the movie are neutrals. Neutrals are classic, they rarely go out of style, and they are great additions to your closet if you’re trying to build a capsule wardrobe.

-Flattering Silhouettes: Every outfit hits her body in just the right places. Of course it’s a movie so the clothes are tailored to perfection, but we can use this in our own wardrobes and take things to get altered that we’ve been putting off or know what flatters our body type to make better purchasing decisions.

-Accessories: A great bag, chunky belt, gloves, sunglasses, a scarf…the accessories in this movie are classic, timeless, and help to elevate what would otherwise be a pretty simple outfit.
