2024 Fashion trend predictions
grazie mille!
We cannot believe that 2023 is nearing itโs end. Itโs been a crazy year for us in the best way! Poema has been growing so much and it makes us unbelievably happy that you all are here. We truly feel like weโve gained thousands of new sisters this year. Before we jump into 2024 we wanted to say thank you for everything this year! Every like, comment, shopping request on stories, helps us to grow and we couldnโt do it without you! Xoxo
2024 Trend predictions
Peach Fuzz
Pantone announced earlier in December that the color of the year for 2024 would be โPeach Fuzzโ. At first we were skeptical, maybe because peach doesnโt really flatter our skintones, but then it started growing on us when we made this mood board. We think the key to trying this trend will be finding the shade of peach that flatters your skintone. Darker, olive skintones should lean toward apricot shades, while lighter skintones can lean into more pinky, baby peach shades.

BALLETCORE
Maybe it was the Barbiecore craze in 2023 or a total 180 from the more tailored, masculine looks weโve been seeing, but we think 2024 will see a return of super girly accessories, so weโre calling it balletcore. Think bows, ballet flats (yes, theyโre still in!), lace, soft pinks, tulle, ruffles, and feminine silhouettes. These will be balanced out by masculine touches like leather, metallics, chunky sneakers, and baggy jeans. Itโs more of a ballet grunge feel!

LEOPARD
Weโve always loved leopard and donโt think itโs ever โinโ or โoutโ but have been seeing it more often in stores lately. You can treat leopard as a neutral and add it in small doses to any outfit for a funky flair.

Pop of Red
We donโt think this โtrendโ is going anywhere anytime soon! Add a pop of red to your look for French girl chic vibes. An additional note on this oneโฆ we were watching White Christmas the other day and noticed that Betty wore a red scarf in one of the scenes. In the same scene Judy had on a buttery yellow coat with leopard accessories. Itโs crazy how cyclical trends are. They always, always come back around! Donโt let us or any marketing fool you into making a large purchase you donโt love just to stay on trend. If you really love it, itโs worth the investment because youโll wear it no matter what. If youโre on the fence, then go with an affordable option to try the trend. Then you can see if you like it enough to make an investment.

We think tights with dresses + shorts, socks with heels, and sock-looking shoes will be big this year! Linked several options below for affordable ways to try the trend.
